ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS CLOSED
SUCCESSFUL AUTHORS NOTIFIED CONFERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS NOW OPEN

Nearly 300 abstracts and proposals from 38 countries were submitted to the ICWES15 Conference Committee in December 2010.  Of these, nearly 200 were from countries other than Australia, making this a significant international event. The Technical Committee has reviewed the submissions and all authors have been advised. If you submitted an abstract and did not receive a notification, please contact icwes15@icms.com.au

Conference Scholarships

The Conference is pleased to offer the following travel assistance scholarships:

  • ICWES15 Travel Assistance Scholarship for international delegates will cover Conference registration and up to a maximum of $1500 toward return airfares to Adelaide and accommodation costs during the Conference. Any travel or accommodation costs above this amount must be paid by the delegate. Scholarships will be paid on a reimbursement basis when delegates arrive and register at the Conference in Adelaide (receipts will be required). Applications for this scholarship are to be made to the ICWES15 Conference Committee. Details are available at www.icwes15.org. Applications close 28 February 2011
  • ICWES15 UNESCO Travel Assistance for international delegates will cover Conference registration and up to a maximum of AUD$3000 towards return airfares to Adelaide and accommodation costs during the Conference. Any travel and accommodation costs above this amount must be paid by the delegate. Assistance is available to women engineers from developing countries who have a paper, poster or workshop accepted for presentation at the Conference. Grants will be paid on a reimbursement basis when delegates arrive and register at the Conference in Adelaide (receipts will be required). Applications for this scholarship are to be made to the ICWES15 Conference Committee. Details are available at www.icwes15.org. Applications close 28 February 2011
  • The Korean Association of Women Scientists and Engineers (KWSE) Travel Assistance Scholarships for delegates from South Korea and the Asia and Pacific region to a maximum value of KWon 2,000,000 (US$1,900). Applications for this scholarship are to be made to the KWSE directly. Details are available from the www.icwes15.org or kwse@kwse.or.kr. Applications close 28 February 2011.
  • Engineers Australia Women in Engineering National Committee Scholarship for Australian delegates, who are members of Engineers Australia, comprising of full conference registration and AUD $500 towards the cost of travel and accommodation while in Adelaide for the duration of the Conference. Scholarships will be paid on a reimbursement basis when delegates arrive for the conference in Adelaide. Applications for this scholarship are to be made to the Engineers Australia Women in Engineering National Committee. Details are available at www.icwes15.org or www.engineersaustralia.org.au/wie. Applications close on 28 February 2011.
